It's a widespread forum site problem affecting the whole net. Here is a few sugestions so we can all help to try and minimize situation. Currently can't make it go away without restricting new members capability to post. Spammer. Not machine, a person with working email account goes through whole registration process. First post offers links to Drug, PRON, Phishing Scam sites, etc. The spammer gets $ commision everytime someone clicks on the links. Also, using the link reports web statistics that attracts more spammers to site. Some are nice and after checking out the site realize it's a PG fish site and leave; others are not or don't care (might not even speak English) and have even left PRON pics and thumbs. Recomendations: Members. If you think it's spam (new member, 1st post, tittle, etc.) don't open thread. If opened; do not activate any links. Viruses, phishing scams, and other threats could be waiting for the next victim. Also, do not respond to post, and vent out, it's a waste of time. All Mods are volunteers and can't police the site 24 hours a day; but the moment Mods or Admin logs in, we will handle it. Moderators. Report to Admin the users name (use report function) so spammer account is removed and then delete whole thread! Removing the link and leaving post (for joke or greeting) wastes other Mods time and sends the wrong signal. Have a nice day and watch out for spam; your computer will be happier without it!

(USA)	Thanks carlos, I went ahead and add in the banning system again, who ever is with these email addy and many more not listed due to personal emails will not be able to register.. @ashanet.ru4 @cashette.com @freeideasearch.info @free-video-gallery.info @gawab.com @hip-h0p1.ru @inbox.lv @kan1.info @mail.ru @mxvost.info @punkass.com @pornoroxx.net @pornvideostar.org @res3.info @spam.la @spambob.com @spambob.net @spambob.org @spamday.com @spamex.com @spamgourmet.com @spamhole.com @spaminator.de @spammotel.com @teen-x-porn.com @web.de ..but as i suggested, doin what i did only slows them down, spammers will spam a board when they want too.. it is their job.. and as of ours.. I would state we are doing a very fine job..I all for contributing the fight against spammers bravo so yes board members, if their is a solicited, erroneous, please hit the report icon that is next to quote and please leave me their sn so they will be deletes and wont be counted as our members statistic.. thumbs up And again Carlos for doin the goodness that comes from within, You are the Greatest!! youdaman respectfully, vanz aka paintsn

Peacemaker Posts: 1,453 Group: Global Advisors Member #11 Joined: June 4, 2006	New spamming style (they do evolve and learn new tricks) include multiple attacks leaving spam hidden in different threads (moderators can catch easily by going to today's active post page and follow links to all post spammer left). If not a thread spammer started; just hit the delete button on spammer post and confirm it... gone im sorry . Another new one is the "cute spam" with a nice greeting and maybe some strange question (like need help to write book...) and a link. Moderators remember to smile and be nice while deleting those laughin rollin . A great kill is one when you delete a spammer thread with the spammer still logged and in his thread wwohh .

Since Zetaboard is still on the progress.. i went ahead and added some new restrictions to make it harder for spammers to get in, lets see if it works.. also i went ahead from A-Z and deleted almost 100 spammer accounts.. there are plenty more accounts that are spam accounts or atleast potential spam accounts and thats what they are.. but those were not deleted since they did not break any forum rules. well just a quick update on what i did today or actually tonight .. took me 4.5 hours to do this hahahhaha.. laughin rollin wwohh take care and yeah watch out for those spam threads.. please click report and please also give the screen name of that person that you are reporting the thread so i could find out more info of that person.. thanks to all the mods and admins that are keeping the forum safe and clean for the FAMILY bravo wow respectfully, vanz aka paintsn

Go on download.com and get " Ad-Aware SE " its free...run a full system scan to remove spyware. Also in your computer do a disk clean up & a disk defragmenter... Always clean your browser of your history, delete files, and delete cookies in "Tool Option" in your interner browser, each time you go on the net... Usualy when your system goes slow, either you added a program recently and its interfering with another program, or its spyware... good luck

I went around and look at the ACP for the forum today.. and cked the new users registrations section.. well I came up with... to see if they want to go another step.. I went ahead and enable that New registrants need to use their emails to validate their membership.. Man i really hate to make it harder for members to reigster but.. i think this way.. it is best for the forum and staff to deal withn these reoccuring spammers..or will see if it will lessen the spammers and also if they are a real person they will ck their emails and validate it!! and another thing is.. if we are forced too.. we may have to manually validate them.. madredmad Go team!!!! thumbs up vanz well thanks Lynda for the reminder.. Well we gonna do a POTM of Oct..I will send the mass email withing today or tomorrow... I was thinking of goin with all malau strains.. what you think?/ we will need 6 people from the forum as judges.. any interested?? further info will will posted shortly on the potm forum thumbs up
