5" Juvies Posts: 568 Group: Team RUS Member #6,067 Joined: November 23, 2007	My fatty female KKP... The Biter, meanest fish ever. Bit up my hands when I was putting the plate. I come home and look what I found!!! They've been cleaning and dancing for about 3 days and I guess they just needed their privacy. The new home for the eggs...10 gallon. Any help and pointers will be appreciated. I've been reading a lot on the Breeding section too. Hopefully, we'll see some progress. This is my first spawn so we'll see.

Nice!!!! Add blue is highly advisable for fungus attacking eggs are the common. the fact that you taking out the pot rather than the parents puts the eggs in stress unless you use the same water that they were born in. Eggs and small frys are highly sensitive to water conditions. if you have an air stone, do throw one directly on the pot itself to create a current for that is the job of the parent is to fan them eggs. it is a waiting game now to see if your fish is even fertile. Read somewhere that SRT are favoring infertility but who knows, yours might be a special, one where uncle sam would like to class under "highly classified" do keep us update with the progress for many would like to see what types of kamfa can this turn out to be. Great job regardless in getting thus far.

But you seperated the parents from the eggs to soon foo thas why you didn't get many wigglers ]= ...don't trip tho you already kno wussup for round 2..lol My prediction,your gonna get frys that are more orange but with less pearl.Start looking for a pearly GreenTexas,or better yet a fertile pearly RedTexas.

You wanna cut corners go ahead...the only way I know how is to buy a faded SRT already. You've got a breeding pair right? Just be patient. I don't think there's any way to "pump" your fish into fading. OR....you can always talk to your fish and ask them if they'll fade...haha j/k
