Thats why we cross srt x srt a few times before we cross it with a kkp.

SRT X SRT = Pearls and high percentage of fertility and faders.Flat texas shape.

SRT X KKP = No pearls, infertile.Faders with good shape.

So if you do

SRT x SRT = (f1) SRT X KKP = Pearls,fader,good shape...a all around better fish!

If you dont do it in this order, you get infertile orage fish with good shape and no pearls.

Unless you get lucky and pick your fry right smiliee

But with genetics, you never kno 100% what will come out.But its allways fun to play with laughin rollin

Grow those suckers out and who kno's,you might get your diamond after all! thumbs up

A new strain? Yup, that's the idea. At least a couple more generations and maybe I'll have something to show for everyone.

DA GENERAL - Hopefully, the pearly one is a female and the pink one is a male.

POWERHORN - I think the black gravel was bad because it just absorbed all the lighting. I
just switched to coral cause it's white and promotes better BBs.

1986COM - Somethings wrong with you man. Based on the comments I've read from you,
I REALLY don't think you know what you're talking about. DKDraon from
FHUSA right?

They grow so slooooow. Maybe cause I stare at them everyday. hehe

belly laugh you so funny bro..

but yeah it is like that.. when you see them all the time..they look like they never did aged..but if you went away for a few days.. its like ahhhh!!

what happened?? they grew i'm lost

but what i think is the texas genes in them..

have you raised a texas?? the pure ones.. to me they grew very sloooooooooooww

and yeah that is one disadvantages with breeding texas... some frys with texas genes do grow slow.. that i see for myself too.

but none the less bro.. i hope you will continue to perfect your creation clapping you da man!

what an awesome update bro.

It all started out with blah color and look at it now. So he is about 10 months old so he is not old enough to breed since kamfas are late bloomer or mature slower?

Well it sure doesn't look like the mother or the father so do we even know what people use to make a parrot? Perhaps the key equation is the offsprings have a tendency to look like their ancestors instead of the parents.

I have been breeding to see 4 generations and in the 4th, their great grandpa relives again. Very trippy indeed.

What I notice is how this offspring of a srt x kkp have flowers. Parents don't have flower so where does this flower trait coming from?

Is it coming from the father srt? If so then does that give us a clue on how to make an srt?

He's probably around 10 months old now and about 5 inches. He's very thick and he's retained his strong fins. I think the flowers came from the Texas gene. I do hope that this one will be a late bloomer like his dad. Here's what his dad looks like before and after.
