Hello, I'm new here but not to fish. I've been keeping fish for 14years now and currently have 7 tanks running. I am very new to the world of flowerhorns having recently purchased one by accident (bad bad impulse buy that I should have known better about) and now I'm doing my best to find out what I can. i dont know

Well it was about a 3 week impulse. I first saw the fish 3 weeks ago when it was hiding from it's tankmates. Then when I went back about 5 days ago it was out and swimming, and she had such a cute face and kept coming up to the glass to see me (I'm a sucker for fish with personality). Then the owner of the store (who I trust and like), told me he wasn't sure what she was, she came in with some flowerhorns but was really not aggressive at all. Plus he gave her to me for $10, now I find out she may very well be a flowerhorn and I've heard alot about their not so gentle nature. I'm worried I may wake up to find my beloved oscar dead one morning!

Are flowerhorns really all that nasty?

Flowerhorn can get a little aggressive at time or most of the time I should say smiliee That's just there nature, but that's not always the case..most do get along.

Anways glad to have you with us..enjoy your stay! thumbs up

Kevin
