Hey guys I have just got like 12 flowerhorns from my brother. He got it from his dad friend which breed alot of strains of flowerhorn together. However out of the 12, there's 2 that seems like they are peeling their scales? Right now they're in a 150 gallon aquarium. They grow pretty quick. The biggest one died because it jump out of the water. Iposted one videos as it was hard taking still pictures of them. Is something wrong with those 2 fish? I was about to take them out because I thought they were sick and would spread it to the others.

lol they're not sick. Its a process called peeling/fadeing in wich the top layer of color fades off and reveals a lighter tone like yellow or white. It happens in like 3-5% of ZhenZhu and in pretty much every JangKang strain.

Heres a link to a thread you could read wich will teach you more about fading. thumbs up

I wanted to ask yo a question.  So is fading a bad or good thing.  Only 2 of mines has it.

No,fading isnt a bad thing. Most people like fader fish. Its all on what you like personaly.People like faded fish because they peal and reveal a orange or yellow base with a red belly and they're not your tipical red and grey FloweHorn.

Heres sum pics of general Red dragon ZZ and a fader type male and a fader type female.
