as for me, I would take out the divider and let them be.
But if the male constantly attacks with big blows, you should seperate.
If the male swims and thrusts crazy, but does NOT bite hard, then he's just trying to attract her.
But if the male gets beat up then you wont be able to breed them.

They should be easy. Water change will kick start the egg laying.

The flowerhorn fishes are cool and beautiful, but the flowerhorn hobby is crap!

Once eggs are layed,hope that the female wont get to agressive toward the male,leave the male in for only 24 hours then its safer to remove him,add methalene blue.Then leave the female with the eggs for another 2 days and as you see some eggs become wigglers,remove the female.
