Flowerhorn Health; Pink mass coming out from below for frowerhorn fish
Topic Started: Feb 21 2018, 04:22 AM (158 Views)
Hi, I have a flowerhorn fish that i got around 3 months back. He is alone in the tank size 4 feet length, width is 1.5 feet and height is 1 feet. After i got him in about 2 weeks i started noticing white cotton stuff in aquarium, neglected it for 2 more weeks without realizing my fish was infected. i was not aware that this is white poo and also noticed it had swollen tummy and its hump had reduced to half. i gave him medicine like para clear -- 2 times after 2 water changes in 3 days interval. i also gave metronidazole once. i used aquarium salt also. Now from past few days i notice that the fish is having a pink color muscle like mass coming out from its bottom. it will be there for 4-5 hours then disappear and again after one day same thing appears. i am very much worried as i don't know how to cure him. and his tummy infection. the fish has lost it color and the beautiful hump which it had when i had bought it. Please help.

That's a hernia. I had a flowerhorn that had this problem before. keep doing daily 20-30 percent water changes along with the medicine until it's fully cured. what temperature is your tank?

treating it early is the best cure.. as of now.. just continue what you doing and keep following what the meds say.

also dont worry bout the fish not eating. They usually wont eat when sick. Hope for a speedy recovery. good luck
