I feel like there isn't enough people in the hobby as far as the FH goes. i live in florida and every time i try to find FH to buy i get the same answer. what are they or no we dont get them. and i called many dealers. and when i do get someone that do carry them. they give me this deer in the head light look when i ask about GM. ZZ. KK. AM I MISSING the boat or what. I would like to see more people getting into this hobby. in my area. and not just the west coast. i also rent out tanks and set them up for people to have fish and not have to worry about maint. them for a low fee. i was doing it with my angels. but times the way they are i ended up with most of my tanks back with the fish. but seeing the flower horn for what they are. I want to try it again with them. not looking for any thing free just want to know why it isnt that big of a thing here.

People in my area see FH as a "Bass with a tumor on its head" is the typical reaction I get from Western aquarists. Also, cichlid purists didn't help out that much ya know. Notice not much coverage regarding FH like in TFH or other American fish mags. Same goes for cichlid clubs/associations. Only FAMA did a short article on FHs. The "powers that be" which decide for those fish mags do not want to promote FHs at all. Even more so at the local cichlid club meeting/auction. I hope the books/mags & clubs will promote them at some point. We can only hope.

But if you want Im breeding lots of frys from koky genes only so hit me up I hook you up with some nice MP for a low prise and there flowerfish bloodline too

I would like to have a few different strains. plus the LPS I was doing my shopping with is closing his doors this next week. and the other pet stores in my area either dont have flower horns or they dont know enough about them to trust. plus i come from the old school. look before you buy
