sorry haven't been posting for a while busy with work, hope everyone's good. well it happened a week ago, i fed him some frozen cichlid delight then i went back to check him out his body was bent like a letter "S" and didnt swim right anymore til now. i put some maracyn two in the tank and fed him some peas but still not showing improvement. i know your supposed to limit feeding him, but now his stomach is sucked in, he's always at the bottom and on one side, also it looks like his eyes are hyper extended to one side. he doesnt have the ability to swim and get food so i feed him with a sirynge but only once for four days now. i hope he survives this cause i feel really bad, he's my first flowerhorn and my favorite fish too. if anyone out there has any info or advice please help a brother flowerhorn out. thanks to who ever replies, oh yeah ive had him ever since he was 4 inches and now he's 7 inches long.

if one minute you feeding ..then the next he is laying and gasping for air..

i would think one either the surrounding.. change of temp?/ some one added some solution to the tank?? i dont know..

but the more that would be related would be that the fish got spooked and ran into the glass head on and broke a spine..

many fish have had this too..

solutions for this.. i think we need to pull some of the older threads back on the med section..

maybe dont have too many things in the tank for it to bump on.. watch out for over hanged filters.. keep the tank away from heavy traffic places.. well its hard.. for some fish may get use to heavy traffic.. and also some fish would get frighten just because they never seen that person before..its weird.. i guess we all need to spend more time with are fish to learn and keep them more at a comfortable level..

im sorry to see all this happen..hope all would help out and learn from each other more..take care.. also i will move this to the Med section for more attention.. thank you for the share.
