Nice one, has beautifull deep red color, congrats and thanks for sharing. What characteristics you use to define this fish (or any FH) as a King Bacara?

I second Rudy's opinion. I thought Bacara's were more metallic? But, it's one of the best kamfas I've seen cause of its COLOR. New kamfas need colors.

KBs came in all colors... then a KB was crowned a champ in the Philippines which was Blue Metallic & Pink. After that hobbyists in USA sort of set a standard that KB has to be Blue Metallic. Here are old pics of KB from Thai: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by Lucky, Sep 7 2008, 08:46 PM.

Kanika's fish is very nice, so are the other "King Bacara" pics posted. This is a very good example of how one hybrid strain name (King Bacara) might have different definitions and characteristics as strain evolves through time or name goes from area to area. - In Kanika's locality (don't know where); a KB = a Kamfa of superior quality and white pearls on red body. - In the Phillipines; a KB = a Kamfa of superior quality and metallic blue pearls - In the US; a KB= a Kamfa of superior quality with blue metallic on body. Myself prefer this one: KB = a Kamfa of superior quality with a pearlecent blue sheen on body. This description allows for different pearl and body colors as long as blue pearl sheen is present on body. Now, let's get back to the topic at hand. Is this your breeding Kanika's? Both breeder and owner of this fish should be very proud. Red coloring is very intense, specially for a Kamfa. Can you share his diet? and with him. |

There are lots of FHs and lots of names. They are all made up by humans. All made up. Same names could even = to totally way different looking fishes. |
| The flowerhorn fishes are cool and beautiful, but the flowerhorn hobby is crap! | |
