Dont get me wrong that is a good forum there, but I'm talkin about a spot where readers can post their own fish and ask for an ID. Sometimes they just like a second opinion, you feel me? |

thanks for the nice words kok! well you could always post up your fish for ID or ask questions anywhere..... that is what the forum is for.... to learn and share from one another. bout sections we do have many.. All About FH/Hybrids: which consist of many sections as you can see Newbie Corners, General Discussions, Masters Corners and so on.. while Masterpiece Forums : which consist of different section of different strains.. GM/Kamalau , Kamfas/KamfaMalau and so forth.. and also we got a section where you could post if you dont know what it is and if any the staff will move it to the correct section: FH/Hybrids - Unknown Cross Breeds & Frys and Beyond but back to your question..
I would just post that on the Newbie Corners http://flowerhornrusforum.com/forum/3358/ well  for concern.. i do hope we could answer your questions.. but if any feel free to ask.. Its always a good thing to try to make the forum a better place |

I'm not liking too much how a thread automatically combines 2 posts into one. For instance: I open a thread to post pictures and updates on a fish (for example, Green Matrix). So I post a picture one month and everyone leaves real nice comments and I reply to all of them to thank them. So the last post on my thread was from me saying thank you for the nice comment. So a month passes by and I want to make an update and want to make a new post with a picture but instead it merges it with my old "thank you" post and it labels it as an "Edit". The reason I don't like it much is because the thread doesn't get bumped up and nobody sees the new picture and post. Plus it makes me look like I'm always editing my old posts, which I am not. From what I have noticed the thread gets bumped up onto the list in the portal.. But I agree that not many people view the merged posts and it makes it look like the posts have been edited over and over again....Maybe after a gap of 24 hours from the original post our posts should not get merged.. Can that be done? |

got it Boss.. sorry bout that.. they didnt let me .. actually i wasnt aware at first.. but i change it a bit.. cut out is one hour for merging.. after one hour it should not merge no more.. well thats what the setting states.. lets see \ please let me know if any..thank you ok.. imma change the merging to 24 hrs.. hows that...just like what sis nik states... or you want one hr?? Thanks for the help Vanz! As far as a time frame goes it's really up to you and/or your staff here. 24hrs or just one hour is cool with me, I wonder what the other members might think or want though.

hmm.. maybe you could rearrange which type of smiley we need.. i know i got more ..but just that some are appropriate and some not.. but lets see what you got.. just give me the pics..ill take care of it.. but it has to be the same type of smilies we got.. forgot what these are called again  but REMEMBER.. the more stuff you add..the slower the forum may be...  just gotta try at times ok..so 24hrs for the deadline of merging..

I don't know if this function is available or not for our forum. I think it will be nice that we could have a button to show us what is the new posts since we login last time. I know there is a new post from the portal but i think that is the daily new post. I think other forum has a function to show all the posts after I login last time. If we have that, I won't miss any post :) Thanks. |

hmmm... im not sure bout the since the last time logged in.. but as of now i do know that we got this on the bottom of the forum..  but i will go and ck to see bout that of what you meant..since last logged.. but man what bout those that comes here only once a year?? hahahhah.. just a thought.. guess they gotta be more active

Yes, that will do. that is easier than going to the portal to find the active post. The only thing is this only show the posts within 24 hours post. If i didn't login for over 24 hours, i will miss some posts. I agree with you about not login for a while. some other forum is very active, even within 24 hours, there are a lot of posts already! I just thought this feature make it easier to screen over the new posts. thanks. |
