nice pearl Fh you got there waelaase!

but feeding live fish will only give it a chance to get in contact with diseases..

so for two week it hasnt eaten?? was it like that with the original owner?? or is it just stressed and not use to its surrounding?

also did you deworm the fish before adding to the new tank?? how is the water parameters?/ temp and so forth..

please give some updates and hope all goes well..

I agree with the comments above.. Your fish seems to be stressed out because his coloration is faded, and it seems to me like his nuchal hump has went down in size.
Some say size doesn't matter. I said it does especially when you're talking about one's Kok.. haha

Please stop feeding him live fish. Unless you breed the live fish yourself they can carry a lot of diseases.. If he eats other food then feed him frozen bloodworms and pellets...

Hello,
I have alot of feeder fish (gopy and black moly that i raise to be sure it's better )
yesterday i see a new behavior
the Flowerhorn eats bloodworm (at least not life fish) and it start to chase other fish
also it moves in circles with my what i thought a male red devil
they move together and clean a piece of wood
i'll keep an eye on them may be they will do it
if they do it i 'll have to move all other fish

today the egg tube is bigger
they removed the gravel from the tank corner and the female clean it allot now
and the male protect the area (from me no other fish in the tank)

If they are fighting then it is best to separate them using a divider. Introduce them when they start cleaning their side of the tank and keep an eye on them.

If the eggs are fertile then you will see two black dots on each egg within 2 days. If they are unfertile then the eggs will turn white in a day or two.

Different females lay eggs at different times. I have had a female fh who would lay eggs once a week while some of my other female fh would lay eggs once a month...

Good luck :)
