This is my first pair that I have going right now. I put these two together last night. They sure look mighty comfortable.

They paired up right away bro. I put him in the tank with the bag so he can get comfortable with the water temperature and right away my bp started flapping it's tail to get some attention. A couple of minutes later I took him out and put him in the divider. They seemed fine, so I removed the divider and they were just happy. Relaxed. So now both of their organs are sticking out. Female always hovers around the clay plate. The male just diggin up holes everywhere. lol.

They looking good.

Thanks bro.

These two still haven't got anything. No eggs no nothing. THey moved everything. Rocks, pot and the plate but no luck with eggs on the bp. I know the bp is a female. And the GT is a male. Everytime the female Lays on the clay plate. The male follows her around. Doesn't leave her alone. He doesn't hurt her or chase her though.

Anybody know what might be going on? Any tips?

it's more of a waiting game. some fish will show breeding signs but that just it. when they are ready you will see. ive had fish do the same thing. they show signs that they want to breed but they just going threw the motion

on the other hand you can try to play some barry white hehehehe

Sounds as if he is ready, but she is not. Patience, unless he is hurting her...

Pure strain should be 99.99% fertile unless damaged in some way. thank you

Thanks for the help bro. All I see is the breeding motion. The colors are there also. It's a time game I guess. But patience is the key to this one. I have nothing but time for these two.

lol. thank you

Thank you for the answer and help.
I'll have the patience for them. It does look like if she isn't ready just yet. No sir, he isn't hurting her at all. I would've removed him by now. There is no chasing or anything going on that can cause damage to them.
