I have a little update. Here is my So Called SB SRT never faded though now he/she is about 4 inches. Any idea if its a male or female??? Are male texans pretty fertile??? Before pic  Yesterday pic  Another

i too go with female.. and with female.. i find that they are more fertile in the rt strains. good luck bro on the project. |

so i came in from work yesterday and she jumped the divider. i had this problem before wit another fish but i found out it dug under. This time im sure she jumped there is absolutely no sign of a hole or even any digging at all! Its like a 2 inch jump and shes only 4 inches. So she landed with a female kkp. SB was pretty messed up floating in the corner. So i took her out and put her in the tank with my male jk. Better filtration/circilation, faster healing... This fool was doing flips like a freekin circus act! I came home today and he had dug a nest the size of a big mac! So i think imma leave her in there for a while and see if she will drop some eggs and confirm that she is a she. Though i have no doubts anymore..... TO BE CONTINUED....... |

.................So.......... turns out everyone was right. Female. Layed eggs today and good old faithful JK is in there doin his thing. My jk is a straight pimp. Any female i throw in with him lays within 1 week. I think he'd fertilize a chicken egg if i threw one in there!!! |

Yup..... "Fogtown Flowerhorns" After I saw the eggs i ran to my brothers house (next door lol) and built a stand to bring a 55 gal in from the garage. It holds the 55 on top with my 1 month old fry. Then two 10 gallons underneath one with 2 week fry, and the other with new fertilized eggs. I'll get the pics up in a bit. Im really busy right now. In a couple weeks imma throw my zz fem in with that stud and that will exhaust me of all my females. 4 females and only 1 male. Nice.....TO BE CONTINUED... |

So with this batch i wanted to pull the eggs like all the other times..... But i had a busy schedule this week so i had to leave the eggs in with the father for about 36 hours! Normaly i leave them for about 4 hours only. So today i put light on them to check them out, and every single egg is fertilized and already got a dozen wigglas!. This will be my new way to breed. Also This is gonna be my biggest batch yet!! Short body srt fem and male jk. Hmm all 3 of my spawns are unknown of what I created. Its so exciting yet im anxiously waiting. Fogtown Faders!!!!!! Here is one of my setups. Little blurry but hey...

 The 55 has kamfamalau about 125 pieces. The lower left blue 10 gal has KKP about 50 pieces. The lower right has SB SRT about 250 wigglas. (Still hatching though) And of course everyone knows the all got the same dad (JK) No telling how they are gonna turn out...TO BE CONTINUED |
